Realex Design was founded by two mates, Sam and Zak, with a singular goal: to do building design better by putting people at the centre of every project. After years in the industry, we saw too many clients treated as just another number in a system, and we knew there was a better way.
Based in Petrie and servicing all of South East Queensland, we are a small business by choice. When you work with us, you aren't navigating layers of staff; you are working directly with the designers of your home. We treat every project as if it were our own, taking genuine pride in delivering thoughtful, well-resolved spaces that reflect the unique lives of the people who live in them.
Our Philosophy
Our name, Realex, is a heartfelt nod to our loyal companions, Reaya and Lexie, who inspire the dedication and care we put into every project. We believe that exceptional design starts with a personal connection.
Unlike many firms that rely on templates, every Realex design starts with a blank canvas. We focus on the fundamentals - smart layouts, natural light, flow, and form - to create intuitive homes that exceed expectations. Our approach is built on clear, down-to-earth communication, guiding you through the complex pre-construction journey to make it feel simple and collaborative.

With over 20 years of combined experience, our team offers the expertise of a large firm with the personalized care of a boutique studio. We provide a full suite of in-house design services and coordinate with a trusted network of partners to ensure your project is ready for construction.
